No child should have to learn on an empty stomach.
For many families, putting enough nutritious food on the table is a daily challenge. When a household is struggling, children feel the impact — in their health, their ability to concentrate at school and their overall wellbeing.
Our Food Security Programme helps relieve some of that pressure by making sure vulnerable children and families have access to essential food when they need it most.
Through our community partnerships, including FoodForward SA and Woolworths Foodshare, we collect and distribute food regularly while also responding to families facing unexpected hardship such as fires, illness or family emergencies.
This is not simply about handing out food. It is about providing a little more stability at home, protecting dignity and giving children one less thing to worry about.
Over the past year, our food support reached approximately 22 individuals and their families each week, with an estimated 2,080 food parcels distributed.
Who benefits?
Children and families experiencing food insecurity and vulnerable households facing periods of financial or personal crisis.
