A young person’s future should not be limited by where they grow up.
There is enormous potential among the young people of Westlake. What is often missing is not ability or ambition, but access to opportunity, mentorship, positive role models and experiences beyond their immediate surroundings.
Youth Connect is designed to help bridge that gap.
The programme brings together approximately 15 young people for regular sessions focused on personal development, leadership, mentorship and social connection. It provides a positive environment where young people can build confidence, develop new skills, share ideas and begin seeing the possibilities available to them.
An important part of Youth Connect is exposure beyond the community. Educational and recreational outings introduce participants to new environments, organisations, institutions, career opportunities and experiences they may not otherwise encounter.
But our ambition goes beyond supporting 15 young people.
We want to develop future community leaders. As participants grow in confidence and experience, our goal is for them to become positive role models who can mentor younger children, contribute to community activities and help create opportunity for the generation coming behind them.

Your contribution helps fund meals and refreshments, programme materials, activities, mentorship opportunities, transport and educational and exposure outings.
