The aim of the Westlake Community Project is to acquire or rent a dedicated building in the Westlake area that Orphan Care Foundation can run and manage as a safe, welcoming Community Centre for children from the local community.
This centre will become the home of our Kids Club initiative, giving children a safe space where they can learn, grow, create, and simply be children. Through art and crafts, educational support, homework assistance, life skills development, and positive mentorship, we want to help keep vulnerable children off the streets and away from the dangers of gangsterism, crime, and negative influences.
Many children in the Westlake community face difficult social circumstances and limited access to safe after-school environments. This project is about more than just a building. It is about creating a place of belonging, encouragement, structure, and hope.
Our vision is to establish a centre where children are seen, supported, guided, and reminded that their lives have value and purpose. A place where they can dream again. A place where they can discover their gifts. A place where they can be surrounded by people who care about their future.
The heart behind the Westlake Community Project is beautifully captured in Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Through this project, Orphan Care Foundation hopes to provide exactly that: a safe place, a caring community, and hope for a better future.
